Terms of use and disclaimers

What Watch Floor is
An independent, personal project that collects public information about vulnerabilities, threats, outages and world events from the sources listed on the Sources page. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or speaking for any employer, vendor, government agency or the organisations whose data it shows.
Information only, no warranty
- Everything here is provided "as is" for general information. It may be incomplete, late, or wrong: upstream records change, feeds fail, and automated matching makes mistakes.
- Scores, priorities ("Act now", "Assess exposure"), exploitation status and every other signal are aids to judgement, not instructions. Always confirm with the vendor's advisory and the official record before acting.
- Nothing here is legal, compliance, financial or professional security advice.
- To the extent the law allows, the owner is not liable for any loss or damage from using, or being unable to use, the site or its data.
AI-written text
Some summaries, "why it matters" notes and briefings are written by AI models from the public evidence shown beside them, and are labelled as AI. They are checked automatically but can still be wrong. The cited sources are authoritative; the AI text is not.
Exploit, detection and testing references
Watch Floor links to public exploit code, proof-of-concept repositories, scanner templates and detection rules, and builds read-only assessment prompts. They are for defenders and for testing systems you own or are explicitly authorised to test. Using them against systems without permission may be illegal. Third-party code is unreviewed: inspect it before running anything.
Acceptable use
- Don't attack, overload or try to break into the site, scrape it in a way that degrades it for others, or get around rate limits or access controls.
- Automated access is welcome through the public feeds and APIs at a reasonable rate; identify your client in its User-Agent.
- Members are responsible for what they write in triage notes and incident pages; don't post anyone else's confidential or personal information.
Third-party content, names and trademarks
- Watch Floor is free and non-commercial: there are no ads or paid tiers, and donations through the Support page are voluntary, cover hosting, and don't buy access, features or priority. Some data (for example Cloudflare Radar and SANS ISC) is licensed for non-commercial use only and is shown on that basis.
- Ransomware leak-site posts name organisations that criminal groups claim to have attacked. They are unverified claims, shown for defenders' awareness, and say nothing about whether a breach happened.
- Data, titles and excerpts belong to their sources and are shown under those sources' terms, with links back. Required notices are on the Sources page.
- Product, company and organisation names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify what a record is about. CVE® is a registered trademark of The MITRE Corporation.
- Linked sites are not controlled by Watch Floor, which isn't responsible for their content or practices.
- Rights holders: to report content you believe shouldn't be here, use the contact form and it will be reviewed promptly.
