Accessibility statement
Last updated November 6, 2026
Watch Floor aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, so that people using screen readers, keyboards, magnification, enlarged text or reduced motion can use it fully.
What that means in practice
- Pages use real headings, landmarks and labelled controls, and work with a keyboard alone.
- Text and controls are sized and coloured for at least 4.5:1 contrast, in both the dark and light themes (the site follows your device setting).
- Layouts hold up with the browser or phone text size turned up, and reflow on small screens without sideways scrolling.
- Animation (the World globe, live updates) respects your device's reduced-motion setting.
- Severity is never shown by colour alone: every score also has a number and a word.
How it is tested
Every main page, on a phone-sized and a desktop-sized screen, is checked with the automated axe-core WCAG 2.1 A/AA rules, plus manual checks with enlarged text and keyboard navigation. Automated tools don't catch everything, so reports from people are especially welcome.
Known limitations
- The World globe is a visual overview; everything it shows is also in the list beside it, which is the accessible way to use that page.
- Charts summarise data that is also given in text or tables nearby.
- PDF exports are generated documents and are not fully tagged for screen readers; the same content is on the web page they come from.
- Content quoted from other sources (advisory titles, descriptions) is shown as published.
Report a problem
If something on Watch Floor is hard or impossible for you to use, please say so through the contact form (choose "Accessibility"). Include the page and what happened; you'll get a reply and a fix or a way to get the same information.
